PCR Buffers (A to W)
Choosing the right buffer for a
particular DNA polymerase and specific application plays a key role in PCR
optimisation. Poor performance of enzymes, low or no yield are consequences of
employing the wrong buffer, in most cases. We offer both individual and sets of
10 × PCR buffers which have emerged during history of PCR for screening
purposes. Buffers are prepared using DNase- and RNase-free water. The pH was
measured at 25 ºC. All buffers were assayed in reactions with a number of
commercially available DNA polymerases. Detergent-free buffers suitable for
DHPLC are highlighted.
All buffers can be supplemented with
MgCl2, MgSO4, or Mg-Acetate upon request.

Universal additive to any
PCR mix. Proprietary optimised composition of several additives. Helps
in all difficult cases. Improves specificity, sensitivity and yield of
reaction as well as performance of polymerases. Action is similar to
“melting” of DNA regions with complex secondary structure and making DNA
more accessible to polymerase. Tested at up to 76% of GC-, and 68% of
AT-rich sequences. |
